The past fifteen years at St. Croix Chocolate Company have been rich with wonderful friendships, fantastic customers and of course — so, so much chocolate!

Through years of creativity and growth, you — our customers, along with our dedicated team — have become our "chocolate family." We can't begin to thank everyone for all the ways you have supported us, but we feel your love every day, and we love you all right back!

If you have a moment, we'd love to hear your memories, your favorite flavor, or the times our chocolate became a part of your seasonal tradition.

  • All the memories from my trips to SCC will forever remind me of good times and good friends. Early visits with my mother and watching the joy a piece of chocolate could bring to her face. No trip to Minnesota is ever complete for out-of-state friends and family without a trip to St. Croix chocolate. My expectations for the new owner are high, my expectations for the retiring owners is that you will enjoy your days ahead. Your shop and it’s exquisite chocolates will forever be treasured memories.

  • So many years of always amazing chocolate! Passion fruit, lemon espresso, salted caramel, peanut butter, lively lemon, stout and sour cherry, so many beautiful easter eggs, carmelized white chocolate bunnies… way too many fantastic truffles to name. Your chocolates have brought years of pleasure to me and my family and friends. Thank you!

My family used to give your four piece boxes as teacher gifts and consistently heard that the chocolates never made it out of the building.

A friend has two grown boys, both hard-core foodies. One was hesitating over which chocolate to choose and the other remarked," Just pick one, they’re all great", so very true.

The chocolate shop may go on but it will never be the same without you both. You combined supreme artistry with the most wonderful hospitality and friendship for an unforgettable experience. I am going to miss you.

  • Your chocolates hold a very special place in my heart as one of my late mother’s favorite treats. On so many errands, we would stop by with the hope of finding Key Lime or Sea Salt Caramel—her absolute favorites. – My mom was always thinking of others, and your chocolates were often part of the joy she shared with friends and family. She even started the tradition of advent calendars in our home, something I still look forward to each year. – I want to thank you for being part of these memories. Your shop is woven into the love, traditions, and moments I’ll always carry of my mom. For that, I am deeply grateful.

  • Thank you for all that you’ve given me in my time under your employment. You’ve changed me in irreversible ways, and gave me the confidence in my skills necessary to chase my own dreams. Enjoy your well deserved change of pace! Love you guys!

  • How I will miss you both! We have celebrated together, cried together and supported each other for 15 years. Congratulations on building a successful business in Marine Village. Not an easy task! Enjoy your “new normal” and visit me at The Gen regularly💗💗

  • I think my first SCCC chocolates were a side order with a dozen eggs, back when Robyn made deliveries at the door of the Star Tribune. I haven’t had nearly enough of them, especially since my move out of state, but I enjoyed watching every step of your growth along the way, as you’ve won awards and customers. A highlight for me will always be a birthday dinner with pizza fresh from the oven, dragonfruit salad, wine and, of course, chocolates. The little shop was always a fun destination too. Congratulations and best wishes!

  • I had a friend introduce me to your chocolates around 10 years ago. It’s now my go-to gift for so many people. Thanks for the wonderful treats I’ve enjoyed and shared with others!

  • I’m really excited for you both. Retirement is a wonderful thing, and I understand the arthritis thing. I you are ever down this way North of Houston, you’re welcome here!

  • Omg- privilege of a lifetime to attend the International Chocolate Awards near Florence Italy with Cathy M. Because you were too busy making chocolates for Xmas! What fun to go, represent you and bring home two well deserved awards to you!
Plus I’ve had fun giving away your chic Easter bunnies, toffee and bringing guests to your shop.
I love how you’ve had fun themed events for the community too.
Thanks SO much for the privilege and fun for many years.
PS another sweet memory is a friend of mine said she used to treat herself to a chocolate at the end of every week after her cancer treatment. Such a lovely gift you made happen!

  • Cheers to you Robyn and Diedre on your new adventure. I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve given the community over these past 15 years, and I have truly enjoyed getting to know you. I’ve probably gifted hundreds of your 4-piece boxes to family, friends, employees and service providers over the years, surprising each one with your amazing confections. But my favorite memory is probably all the hours I spent during the pandemic waiting in line outside in the cold to get your peppermint bark. It became a true addiction… so much so that I eventually ate all of the boxes I purchased as Christmas gifts when your inventory ran out (maybe because I bought it all?), and had to replace the gifts with an inferior imposter. Yay for me! You will be missed!

  • Ladies! This is incredibly bittersweet as we have grown to love you both and seeing Deidre and talking to her has been such a joy and positive experience every single time we visited to the shop. I know whatever you choose to do next will be just as amazing and beautiful as both of you. You will be missed! Remember to Always Seize the Day! 💜

  • My first summer in the area 2 years ago I was out exploring and parked in front of the library. A woman had opened her van door and had armfuls of boxes. She was trying to climb a narrow steep stairway. Asked if I could help. Had no idea whose famous shoulders I had just brushed! Wishing you continued success wherever it takes you both!

  • A highlight for the last few years have been the smoking jacket bunnies for Easter. Of course, part of that was seeing Deidre when picking them up, and through the years introducing new dogs along the way.

  • Some years ago, we brought our nine or ten year old niece to visit the shop. Deirdre was very kind and showed her the equipment and explained how things work.

For the past several years, I have given my team chocolates from your shop to thank them for all they do.

The new owner sounds great and you deserve a wonderful rest!

  • The shop (no matter which location) has been a stop for our family anytime we have visitors in from out of town. They are always amazed at the quality of the chocolates…and how beautiful they look! Congrats on the next phase of your lives!

  • I will miss you guys, especially you Diedre, you’ve been the face of St. Croix Chocolates. My favorites are the rhubarb sticks, champagne bon bone, and passion fruit, but honestly, there isn’t a bad choice in the case. It’s been a joy following your success. I love when you come out with the seasonal flavors, gives me something to look forward to. Sharing my cancer experience with Diedre was extremely helpful. Still dealing with it, but I can feel that the affected breast is much more supple than it was! I realize the new owner will want to do his own recipes, but I truly hope that he keeps at least some of Robyn’s on board.

  • Robyn and Deidre, It was a pleasure getting to know you both professionally and personally as a fellow Minnesota Chocolatiers! From cleaning your cocoa butter cups, borrowing your guitar cutter, taking my family to your caramel palooza, to making chocolates side by side, being business referral partners, and even sharing stories of success and sorrows…what an honor to know you both! While it sadness my heart to hear you will no longer be around making chocolates, I do wish you absolute success in the chestnut and elderberry business…because…YES, I would totally buy a couple cases of each from you each year! You are both such shining lights to this world and I hope that our paths will continue to cross in the future! May your orchard blossom and be fruitful year after year…and same for your chestnuts and elderberries too. ;) All the chocolate love to you both! -Kevin

  • From one red-headed Robyn with a “y” to another, congratulations to you both! It’s been such a pleasure to get a small peek into your world and understand your passion for award-winning chocolate. You’ve mastered this art and known great success. It’s another thing entirely to wish you the best with your next greatest idea. Sending love from the Wolf River, Yours, Robyn

  • For 25 years I’ve been visiting every summer, to see my nana who lives on big marine lake. The first year the chocolate shop opened we made sure to stop. I found my favorite chocolate (passion fruit) and have enjoyed trying different ones you guys make every year we come to visit. This year is the first year we won’t be able to make it in to visit, but I’ve made sure to keep my yearly tradition up, and have my nana stop by to grab my favorite chocolates ☺️ thank you guys for so many years of memories, and giving me one extra thing to look forward to when we come visit the lake. Best of luck on your next adventure!🤍
